A wet woodland in SE Aberdeenshire, the Loch of Lumgair is located 2½ miles (4 km) southwest of Stonehaven. It extends to 17 ha / 42 acres. It is shown on Pont's map of the late 16th C. as 'L Lumgher' at which time it may have been a water body.
