The Birns Water is a tributary of the River Tyne in East Lothian. Rising in the Lammermuir Hills to the west of Lammer Law, the Birns Water flows in a northwest direction before heading north to join the River Tyne at a point 4 miles (6 km) southeast of Tranent.
