Loch Tallant

A small lochan in a wetland in the centre of the island of Islay in Argyll and Bute, Loch Tallant is surrounded by peat cuttings, a quarter-mile (0.5 km) south of Cnoc Donn and 2 miles (3 km) southeast of Bowmore. The wetland drains into the River Laggan. There is another Loch Tallant 8 miles (13 km) to the east southeast.
