A substantial stream of Easter Ross, the Easter Fearn Burn rises as headstreams on the slopes of Beinn nan Oighrean (538m / 1765 feet), flows north as the Allt Fearna and becomes the Easter Fearn Burn as it turns northeast and enters a gorge to the southwest of Easter Fearn. It turns north once again before falling into the Dornoch Firth having completed a course of 3 miles (5 km).
