A tiny lochan in the plain that extends east from Laggan Bay in the centre of the island of Islay (Argyll and Bute), Loch Eidhinn is surrounded by peat cuttings a quarter-mile (0.5 km) northeast of Machrie. It extends to only 0.3 ha (0.8 acres).
