Loch a' Mhala


(Loch a' MhĂ la)

A little lochan in the N of the island of Islay in Argyll and Bute, Lochan a' Mhala is located on rising ground to the east of Loch Gruinart, 1¼ miles (2 km) west of Beinn Bhreac. It covers an area of just 1 ha (2.5 acres), and empties to the northwest, although this stream is often dry.
