A small river in the W of the Rhinns of Islay, the Saligo River connects Loch Gorm to the sea at Saligo Bay. It is a mile (1.7 km) in length and its principal affluents are field drains from the northwest and south. A 2012 survey showed the river supports a healthy population of salmon, together with a few brown trout.
