One of a pair of small lochs in N Central Dumfries and Galloway, the Long Loch of Glenhead lies to the northwest of the Round Loch of Glenhead, at the head of Glen Trool. Extending to 10.7 ha (26.5 acres), it drains to the southwest into the Long Loch Burn, which is a tributary of the Glenhead Burn.
