River Tarff

A river in the SW Monadhliath Mountains, the River Tarff rises between the Glendoe and Corrieyairack Forests. It flows west then north through Glen Tarff to empty into Loch Ness near Fort Augustus. In 2006-08, its headwaters were dammed to form the Glendoe Reservoir, part of the Glendoe Hydro Electric Scheme.
