River Shiel

Rising in the foothills of Sgurr an Doire Leathain on the border of Inverness and Skye and Lochalsh districts in Highland Council Area, the River Shiel flows northeasterly then northwesterly. Passing through Glen Shiel and to the south of Kintail Forest and the Five Sisters of Kintail, the river empties into the head of Loch Duich at Shiel Bridge.
