West Water

A small river which rises as headwaters between Catstone and King Seat in the SW Pentland Hills, the West Water flows southeast through the West Water Reservoir to spill into the Lyne Water a mile (1.5 km) south southeast of West Linton in the Scottish Borders. Its total length is 4 miles (6 km). This should not be confused with another West Water flowing in a similar direction just 2½ miles (4 km) to the southwest.
