A stream of South Lanarkshire, Kirkhope Cleuch rises between Rodger Law and Hirstane Rig in the Lowther Hills, 7 miles (11 km) west of Moffat and 8 miles (13 km) northeast of Thornhill. Flowing in a northeasterly direction, it empties into the southern end of the Daer Reservoir.
