Glen Sligachan

A narrow valley on the island of Skye in the Inner Hebrides, Glen Sligachan lies to the east of the Cuillin Hills from where it carries the River Sligachan east and north to join Loch Sligachan at Sligachan, 9 miles (15 km) south of Portree. The Sligachan Inn on the main road between Broadford and Portree was built in the 1880s near the bridge over the River Sligachan. There is a mountain rescue post in the hotel.
