A reservoir with an earth embankment dam on the course of the Ale Water in the Scottish Borders, Alemoor Reservoir is located 6 miles (10 km) west of Hawick and 14 miles (24 km) southwest of Melrose in the Scottish Borders. It is operated by Scottish Water for the supply of drinking-water and covers an area of 29.4 ha (72 acres).
