Mill Loch

(Da Mill Loch)

A lochan, which represents the largest body of freshwater on the remote island of Foula (Shetland), Mill Loch lies a quarter-mile (0.4 km) to the west of Ham, the island's principal settlement. There was once a sluice and mill on the outlet of the loch, which drains to the north into the Ham Burn. It is said there were once seven mills powered by the loch.
