Loch Scavaig

A sea loch on the southwest coast of the island of Skye in the Inner Hebrides, Loch Scavaig opens out into the Cuillin Sound to the south of the Cuillin Hills. The island of Soay lies to the west and the Strathaird peninsula to the east. The loch gave its name to the Royal Navy frigate HMS Loch Scavaig launched in 1944.
