Hamna Voe

A sheltered inlet on the south coast of Yell in Shetland, Hamna Voe lies between the Ness of Copister and Burra Ness, 1¼ miles (2 km) west of the settlement of Burravoe. The settlement of Hamnavoe and Houlland lie on its northeastern shore. The Ness of Galtagarth is a peninsula which occupies the middle of the voe; it would be an island were it not for a narrow strip of land connecting it to the shore.
