A sea-loch on the east coast of the Shetland mainland, located 2½ miles (4 km) northwest of Lerwick. It extends inland for 3 miles (5 km) between prominent ridges. Lerwick Harbour Trust built an oil rig inspection, repair and maintenance base at Dales Voe, which was inaugurated by HRH Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay, in 1986.
