Ardoe House


(Ardoe House Hotel)

A large hotel situated amongst 12 ha (30 acres) of parkland on the south side of the River Dee in Aberdeenshire, Ardoe House Hotel lies a mile (1.5 km) to the south of Cults and 5 miles (8 km) southwest of Aberdeen. The house was built in 1878 in the Scottish Baronial style and was designed by James Matthews (1819-98) for the Aberdeen soap-maker, Alexander Ogston.
