A stream in Dumfries and Galloway, the Cargen Water forms from at the confluence of the Bogrie Lane and Lochfoot Burn 4 miles (6.5 km) west of Dumfries. It flows for 3¾ miles (6 km), northeast then southeast through the hamlet of Cargenbridge, where it becomes the Cargen Pow, before joining the River Nith 2¼ miles (3.5 km) south of Dumfries.
