A little headland on the southeast coast of the island of Islay (Argyll and Bute), Carraig Mhor lies at the northern entrance to Port Mor, opposite Ardmore Point, a quarter-mile (0.4 km) to the southeast. There are two other headlands named Carraig Mhor on the east coast of Islay; 3 miles (5 km) to the north and 11 miles (18 km) to the north northwest.
