Carraig nan Ron

(Carraig nan Ròn, Dog Rock)

A rock marked by a light beacon at the junction of Loch Long and Loch Goil in Argyll and Bute, Carraig nan Ron (or Dog Rock) lies a half-mile (1 km) west of Portincaple. The wooded summit of Meall Daraich rises steeply to 144m (472 feet) within Argyll Forest Park to the north.
