A modest hill situated between Ardnahoe Loch and Loch nam Ban on the east coast of Islay in the Inner Hebrides, Guala Dhubh rises to just beyond 130m (426 feet) a mile (1.8 km) northwest of Port Askaig. The summit overlooks the Sound of Islay and there are patches of natural woodland on its lower slopes.
