A rocky and uninhabited island located within a sandy beach on the northwest coast of Coll, Eilean nan Uan is connected to that larger island by a sand spit. It rises to just beyond 10m (33 feet) above sea level and has an area of 1.7 ha (4.1 acres) at high tide, which grows to 2.1 ha (5.2 acres) at low tide.
