One of a number of rocks which lie to the south of Aird Imersay and Eilean Imersay on the southeast coast of Islay in the Inner Hebrides, Sgeir a' Chlachain is situated a half-mile (0.8 km) from the shore, beyond Cleit Buidhe, Corr Sgeir and Sgeir Sgleata.
