Cairn of Claise

Located northeast of the Cairnwell pass, on the border of Aberdeenshire and Angus Council Areas, Cairn of Claise rises to a height of 1064m (3491 feet). Qualifying as a Munro, it descends steeply to the west into Garbh-choire. Its name is derived from the Gaelic for "hill of the hollow".
