A summit in NW Dumfries and Galloway, Big Milldown rises to approximately 160m (524 feet) 1½ miles (2.5 km) north northeast of New Luce. The Cross Water of Luce flows around its eastern and northern slopes, while the lesser Wee Milldown lies immediately to the south.
