Rubha Ardvule


(Rubha Ardvula, Rubha Aird a' Mhuile)

A rocky peninsula on the west coast of South Uist in the Outer Hebrides, Rubha Ardvule (Gael: Rubha Aird a' Mhuile) lies 2½ miles (4 km) northwest of Kildonan and 7 miles (11 km) northwest of Lochboisdale. Representing the most westerly point of the island, it extends out from the machair into the Atlantic Ocean for a mile (1.5 km). Loch Aird a' Mhuile fills much of the peninsula.
