A spur extending south from Dodd Hill in N Dumfries & Galloway, Glenhead Rig rises to approximately 350m (1148 feet) to the west of the Water of Ken, ¾ mile (1.2 km) north northwest of Strahanna. Commercial forest is to be found to the west, with a further patch on its eastern slopes.
