Knockeffrick Hill

A summit in The Machars of Dumfries and Galloway, Knockeffrick Hill rises to 91m (298 feet) a mile (1.6 km) east southeast of Whauphill. Its summit is marked by an Ordnance Survey triangulation pillar. This is part of an extensive drumlin field and has its principal axis aligned NW-SE indicating the direction of flow of an ancient ice sheet which once covered this area.
