A mountain massif in the Grampian Mountains on the border of Aberdeenshire and Moray, Ben Avon lies 5 miles (8 km) north of Braemar. It has five tops over 914m (3000 feet), the highest being Leabaidh an Daimh Bhuidhe at 1171m (3842 feet). Ben Avon has a number of interesting geomorphological features including massive granite tors, some of which can be seen from a great distance.
