Grey Mare's Tail

The Grey Mare's Tail can be found 10 miles (16 km) northeast of Moffat in Dumfries and Galloway and is a spectacular waterfall with a drop of 61m (200 feet). Rich in flora and with significant geological interest it has remained unchanged for hundreds of years and is remembered as the site where the Covenanters sought refuge from King Charles II and Episcopalianism in the late 17th Century.
