Levern Water

A river rising in the Long Loch (East Renfrewshire) on the border with North Ayrshire, the Levern Water flows northwest through Harelaw Dam and Commore Dam before turning northeast. It flows past Neilston and Barrhead, beyond which for a short distance the river forms the boundary with Glasgow City. It then enters that council area at Nitshill to join the White Cart just over 3 miles (5 km) east southeast of Paisley, having completed a course of 9 miles (14.5 km).
