A remote peak in the Mamore Forest of SW Highland Council Area, Carn Dearg reaches a height of 656m (2152 feet) a half-mile (1 km) east northeast of Loch Eilde Beag and 3 miles (5 km) north of the Blackwater Reservoir. There are two other Carn Deargs associated with Ben Nevis, just 7 miles (11 km) to the west northwest.
