Elgin Museum

Situated on Elgin High Street, Moray, the Elgin Museum is located within an 1842 built Italianate style building. The two-storey Museum is characterised by its tall round-headed windows. The 3-stage tower to the east was originally home to the first custodian of the museum. It is believed that Elgin Museum is the earliest Scottish purpose designed and built museum. Nearby is St Giles Church.
