The Statue House

Located within the village of Eaglesham, East Renfrewshire, the Statue House is a museum dedicated to the work of local sculptor William Gemmell. Born in 1814, Gemmell lived in Eaglesham and, although a joiner to trade, he was better known as a sculptor. The only remaining examples of his work are the six life size figures located in the Statue House.
