Old Bridge House Museum

Located in Dumfries, Dumfries and Galloway, the Bridge House was built in 1660 and sits at the western end of the 15th Century Devorguilla Bridge. The museum highlights the history of the town, with reconstructions of mid-19th and early-20th century kitchens, a dentist surgery and a Victorian nursery. Beyond was the Brig End o' Dumfries, a lawless place before it was developed as part of Maxwelltown in 1810.
