A summit within the Pentland Hills of Midlothian, Turnhouse Hill rises to 506m (1660 feet) ¾ mile (1.2 km) south southwest of Glencorse Reservoir and 2 miles (3 km) northwest of Penicuik. It has a subsidiary summit a quarter-mile (0.4 km) north northeast of the main summit which reaches 465m (1525 feet). Rullion Green Battlefield lies on its southeastern slopes.
