Ross Road


(The Ross)

A spectacular route across the south of the Isle of Arran in North Ayrshire, the Ross Road (or The Ross) is the southern of only two roads which cross the island. The road links Bennecarrigan, half-mile (1 km) southeast of Sliddery, with Lamlash. The road passes along Glen Scorrodale to reach a height of 285m (935 feet) before descending through Monamore Glen. It is 8½ miles (13.5 km) in length.
