A summit in the centre of the island of Great Cumbrae in North Ayrshire, Tonnel Hill rises to just beyond 90m (295 feet) on the northeastern flank of Barbay Hill, 1¼ miles (2 km) north of Millport. A minor road curves around its slopes.
