Swarbacks Minn

A deep sea channel off the west coast of the Shetland Mainland, Swarbacks Minn lies between the islands of Muckle Roe to the north and Papa Little and Vementry to the south. The Royal Navy used Swarbacks Minn as an anchorage during the First World War, with the 10th Cruiser Squadron based here, responsible for maintaining the naval blockade of Germany in the North Sea.
