Loch Lubnaig, looking South towards the Pass of Leny

The valley occupied by the River Balvag which links Loch Voil in Balquhidder with Loch Lubnaig bears the name Strathyre. The Strathyre Forest extends up hill on either side of the Strath and at its southern end is the small forestry village of Strathyre.
