Northfield

A suburb of the City of Edinburgh, Northfield lies to the west and adjacent to Portobello, 2 miles (3 km) east of the city centre. Predominantly public housing, constructed in the 1920s to designs by Reginald Fairlie (1883 - 1952), Northfield is the birthplace of the boxer Ken Buchanan (b.1945). Parts of the estate are now B-listed.
