Bardowie Castle

Bardowie Castle is a 16th Century tower house located on the northern shore of Bardowie Loch to the north of Bardowie in East Dunbartonshire. It was a stronghold of the Hamiltons, but passed to through marriage the Buchanans in the early 19th century. It was extended in the 17th and 18th centuries and remains occupied.
