Eas a' Chual Aluinn

(Eas Caul Aulin, Eas Coul Aulin)

Eas a' Chual Aluinn (anglicised to Eas Caul Aulin or Eas Coul Aulin) is Britain's highest waterfall, comprising a ribbon of water which descends 201m (658 feet) down Leithir Dubh on the northeastern slopes of Glas Bheinn into Glen Coul in Assynt. Remotely located, access to the top of the fall is via a 3 mile (5 km) walk along a rough path. Despite the significant rainfall in this area, the flow can be much reduced in summer.
