A district of Aberdeen City, Rubislaw lies 2 miles (3 km) west of the city centre and is centred on the smaller district of Hill of Rubislaw, but extending north to Rubislaw Den on the North Burn of Rubislaw (a section of the Den Burn) and south to Rubislaw Park and the West Burn of Rubislaw. Part of the city's Freedom Lands in the 14th century, by the 1680s the Lands of Rubislaw were the property of the Skenes of Rubislaw, but in time were fued for development.
