Auchterhead Muir

An afforested moorland tract on the border between North and South Lanarkshire, Auchterhead Muir lies 4 miles (6.5 km) east of Wishaw. The area is traversed from east to west by the Auchter Water, a tributary of the South Calder Water, and represents the highest point in the parish of Cambusnethan.
