Gasay


(Gasaigh)

A small uninhabited island in Loch Boisdale (South Uist), Gasay (Gael: Gasaigh) is located a half-mile (0.8 km) southeast of the settlement of Lochboisdale. It extends to an area of 7.7 ha (19 acres). There is a navigation beacon on its northwestern shore, and a fishing harbour was developed 2012-15, linking the island to Rubha Bhuailt to the west.
