Pentland Science Park

A business park lying to the east of the Bush Estate in Midlothian, 6 miles (10 km) south of the centre of Edinburgh, the Pentland Science Park focuses on animal bioscience and the broader life sciences. Developed from 1994 to provide a base for the Moredun Research Institute, the park has expanded to include more than twenty commercial tenants involved in research and development and now employs more than 450 people. The park is owned and operated by the Moredun Foundation, a charity which is the governing body and a principal funder of the Moredun Research Institute, and developed with the support of the European Regional Development Fund, Scottish Enterprise Edinburgh & Lothian and Midlothian Council.
