A forested hill in Strath Tay, Perth and Kinross, Craigvinean overlooks the River Braan near to its confluence with the River Tay opposite Dunkeld. Craigvinean Forest is one of Scotland's oldest managed forests, originally created from larch seed brought from the Alps for the 2nd Duke of Atholl in the 18th century. A forest walk leads to dramatic viewpoints looking out over the Tay valley.
